many people travel to thailand--it is quite the tourist destination. we have encountered travelers from around the world, though very few from the u.s. without talking to everyone it can be difficult to tell who is in fact from the states and who is not. below are some tell-tale signs that someone is not from the u.s.
1. they are speaking in german.
2. they are wearing a fannypak.
3. they are wearing a speedo.
4. they are wearing shorts that land just a bit too high above the knee.
5. they are eating a hamburger with a knife and fork.
